Four PSJA ISD librarians awarded library grants from the Laura Bush Foundation
PHARR – Four Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD librarians have been awarded 2023 Laura Bush Foundation grants of $5,000 that will help expand, diversify, and update book collections in their school libraries.
The Laura Bush Foundation for America's Libraries promotes a lifelong love of reading and learning by awarding grants to local school libraries in need. More than 3,300 schools nationwide have received over $19.5 million since it was founded in 2002.
“Congratulations to the 2023 Laura Bush Foundation Grant Recipients! I am thrilled that school librarians across the country will soon be able to update their library collections,” Mrs. Laura Bush said in a press release.
Since its inception in 2002, the Laura Bush Foundation has awarded $21 million to over 3,600 schools across the country. This year, four librarians from PSJA ISD were recipients of these $5,000 grants.
