Important Message for Students and Staff - Posted January 2, 2022

PSJA ISD will continue to move forward this year operating through our reopening plan as we have done since the start of the school year, and we will add resources to give our employees, students and community further protection of potential exposure to COVID-19 and/or its new variant.

This includes,

• Maintaining our mandate for the use of face masks in all district facilities and encouraging social distancing,
• Ensuring all district locations have appropriate supplies for frequent hand washing and use of hand sanitizer, as well as additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and other materials as needed,
• Conducting temperature checks and COVID-19 screenings before entering any PSJA facility,
• Requiring anyone that has symptoms or have been in close contact with someone who tested positive, notify school or immediate supervisor and complete our COVID-19 self-report form at https://covistat.psjaisd.us/. If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact our PSJA COVID-19 Hotline at 956-354-2015,
• Continuing with contact tracing protocol to alert individuals of close contact and possible exposure,
• Continuing COVID-19 testing at all school/department locations and extend COVID-19 test administration training during Monday's professional development day to more individuals.

At PSJA ISD, we will continue to follow the guidance of national and local health officials and go above their recommended efforts when possible, to ensure the health and safety of every one of you, our students, and families.
