PSJA Facilities Committee meets to discuss current construction projects

The PSJA ISD School Board Facilities Committee met on January 15, 2020 to discuss the current status of construction projects and needs to be addressed in the near future.
 
This committee is part of several created by the PSJA School Board of Trustees at the start of the school year to debrief members of the board and stakeholders about work surrounding important topics such as: Student Services and Community Relations, A-F Accountability, Facilities, Governmental Relations and Partnerships, Human Resources, Budget, Athletics, Fine Arts, Advanced Academics and Extracurricular Activities.
 
During the Facilities Committee Meeting, updates on current construction projects were discussed:
• PSJA’s Agricultural Science Facility (Pictured)
• Natatoriums at both PSJA Early College HS and PSJA
Memorial Early College HS
• Playground Improvements and Parks at both Carman
Elementary and Lives Elementary
• PSJA North Early College HS Courtyard Area (Pictured)
Beautification
• Softball & Baseball Fields Upgrades
• Re-roofing at various campuses and HVAC projects at
several school gymnasiums
 
Possible future projects were also mentioned such as a phase two renovation to LBJ Middle School and driveway addition and parking lot improvements at the intersection of ElDora and Raider Drive.
 
During School Board Recognition Month we want to thank our Trustees for their continuous support and leadership.
 
These committee meetings are open to the public and held every Wednesday of the week at the PSJA ISD Administration Building at Noon.
