PSJA ISD high school students advance to State in Health Occupations of America competition

 

PHARR, TEXAS—Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD high school students in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) recently competed at the HOSA Spring Leadership regional competition in McAllen. A total of 17 students advanced to the State Competition that will be held in Corpus Christi, later this month.

 

HOSA is an international student organization recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Health Science Education Division that provides a unique program of leadership development, motivation, and recognition exclusively for secondary, postsecondary, adult, and collegiate students enrolled in health science education and biomedical science programs or have interests in pursuing careers in health professions.

 

The HOSA State Competition will be held in Corpus Christi, March 31 - April 2. These students will be competing for a spot to compete at Nationals in the following categories:
