  2. Pharr-San Juan Alamo ISD staff, students, parents, and all visitors at Pharr-San Juan Alamo ISD facilities are henceforth required to follow all CDC and local District practices with respect to maintaining social distancing.

  3. This Resolution shall remain in full force and effect until such time as it is rescinded by the Board of Trustees.

During the same meeting, the PSJA School Board also authorized legal counsel to file suit against Governor Abbott and the State of Texas to prohibit the enforcement of his Executive Order that does not allow school districts to mandate masks.

“This is yet another step to ensure the health and safety of our students, staff and overall community. We thank our school board for their support,” said PSJA Superintendent Dr. Jorge L. Arredondo. “We will also continue to work on a limited virtual option for our families.”
