Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD is joining Texas A&M University in a research study about a texting program for parents of middle school students. After enrolling in the program, you will receive a few text messages per week that include facts and tips on how to best guide your child’s academic trajectory and how to best support your child’s social & emotional learning as they transition from middle school to high school.

 

There are no risks involved if you decide to join. You can choose to stop receiving texts at any time by replying STOP to any message.

 

The text messages will include facts and tips on:

 

1) How to best support and guide your child's academic trajectory as they transition from middle school to high school;

 

2) How to best support your child's social and emotional learning skills; and

 

3) How your child's knowledge, skills and abilities are grow-able.

El Distrito Escolar de Pharr-San Juan-Álamo se unió a la Universidad Texas A&M en un estudio científico para un programa de mensajes de texto para padres de estudiantes en secundaria. Después de inscribirse en el programa, usted recibirá mensajes de texto cada semana.

 

Los mensajes de texto incluyen información y consejos sobre cómo guiar mejor la trayectoria académica de su hijo(a) y cómo apoyar mejor el aprendizaje socio-emocional de su hijo(a) a medida que pasan de la secundaria a la preparatoria.

 

No hay riesgos involucrados si usted decide inscribirse. Puede elegir dejar de recibir mensajes de texto en cualquier momento respondiendo STOP a cualquier mensaje.

 

El tipo de mensajes que recibirá son:

 

1.Cómo guiar a su hijo(a) en su trayectoria académica durante su transición de secundaria a preparatoria.

 

2.Cómo apoyar mejor a su hijo(a) a adquirir habilidades que incrementen su aprendizaje socio-emocional y

 

3.Cómo incrementar las habilidades de su hijo(a).
