ALAMO -  Alamo Middle School in Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA) and its campus Principal Yolanda Gomez were both recently selected as Favorites in the Middle School and Principal categories of 2017 The Monitor's Reader's Choice Awards. 

Each year, The Monitor newspaper publishes a Reader's Choice section featuring all the year's winners. This year's selected recipients will be honored during a special ceremony held today, Sept. 28.

"One never thinks of recognition as the outcome of our work," said Principal Gomez who got selected for the Favorite School Principal category. "I'm passionate about serving as the instructional leader of Alamo Middle School. I'm simply humbled to have the opportunity to lead an amazing administrative team, teachers and staff."
