Pharr Housing Authority, PSJA ISD award over $65,000 in scholarships
The Pharr Housing Authority in partnership with Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD (PSJA ISD) awarded 30 recent PSJA ISD graduates over $65,000 in scholarships for their post-secondary education. The 5th Annual Awards Ceremony, which took place at PSJA Southwest Early College High School on June 27, 2023, is part of an initiative by the non-profit organization Project READ.

Each year, thousands of students are encouraged to read through the district's PSJA Reading Laureate Program, which honors students based on their word count in the Accelerated Reader program.
