  • “Greater: The Greatest Motivation & Inspiration Show on Earth” 9/30/19

    Collegiate Parents:

     

    Our campus will be participating in “Greater: The Greatest Motivation & Inspiration Show on Earth” on Monday, September 30, 2019 at PSJA Stadium. All our PSJA Collegiate High School Program students will be attending the event.

     

    Important information for the day of the event:

    · Bus students will be taken directly to PSJA stadium in the morning

    · Students that are parent drop offs will need to be dropped off on the north side entrance between 7:45-8:25 am (See attached map.)

    · Students must wear their Collegiate Uniform polo shirts.

    · Students may wear caps or visors and sunglasses.

    · No sweaters and/ or hoodies are not allowed at this event.

    · No backpacks are not allowed in the stadium.

    · No drinks or outside food is allowed in the stadium.

    · Breakfast, snacks, and water will be provided.

    Centennial shirts are available for $10 in the front office.  Shirts may be worn on Fridays.  Parents are also able to buy fan shirts to wear throughout the year at district events.

    Please note the important update to our campus map. The west side gate entrance and exit from Veteran’s Road will be closed.  Also, when using the visitor or staff parking lots located on the south side of the campus via Ridge Road, ONLY right turns are allowed to enter or exit.  Do NOT use the center turning lane. Thank you for cooperating with these safety procedures.

  • Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year
    The first day of classes is Monday, 8/26/19. Classes start at 8:25. Breakfast is provided in our cafeteria. Bus transportation is also provided. Please note the change in our student drop off and pick up map. There will be an additional west side entrance and exit off of Veteran's "I" road that you can use in addition to the north side entrance / exit off of Bears Trail. Bus transportation will be provided for our fine arts and athletics students during the day and after school in the drop off and pick up area as well. We are excited to see all our students on Monday.

  • TSI Updates

    Attention parents and students, thank you for participating in our TSI enrichment camps. We are so proud of the hard work our students put in during camp. Congratulations to those students who passed their tests. They are one step closer to taking college classes here at PSJA Collegiate HS Program. For those students unable to attend enrichment and those who need another opportunity to test, we will be offering TSI tutoring and testing during the fall semester.

    About the PSJA Collegiate High School:
    The PSJA Collegiate High School Program is located at the new PSJA College & University Center at the corner of Ridge Rd. and Veterans Blvd. in San Juan. The school opened its doors in August 2018 with a 9th-grade cohort of approximately 125 students. For the 2019-2020 school year, the school will be housing 9th & 10th grade students.

    The school provides a smaller student-to-teacher ratio, one-to-one support, and mentoring.

    Campus Goals:
    PSJA Collegiate High School Program students have the opportunity to receive a High School Diploma with Collegiate Honors, complete the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board Core Curriculum, obtain College Certificates, or earn an Associate Degree, or at least 60 credit hours toward a Baccalaureate Degree during grades 9-12.

    Students attending this school may continue to be part of extracurricular programs in Fine Arts and Athletics at their zoned campus.

  • TSI Enrichment Camps

    TSI Enrichment Camps are scheduled for May for our rising 10th grade students, and in August for our incoming 9th grade students.

    For the May enrichment camp, our students will be given time to register, either for a morning session or an afternoon session, depending on whether they will need 
    1) STAAR Retests, 2) Credit Recovery, or 3) TSI.

    All students need to report to Collegiate HS Program by 8am for testing.  Dress code is required everyday.  It is recommended students bring a sweater or jacket if their classroom is cold, blankets are not allowed.  Please make plans for your student to remain on campus all day.  No classes off campus during testing days or early pick ups are allowed.

  • 11/13/18 ELA Benchmark

     

    Dear Parents, the ELA 1 EOC- Benchmark 1 for all 9th grade students will be on Tuesday, 11/13/18.  Students must report to class by 8:15 a.m.  Testing will begin promptly. Breakfast will be provided starting at 7:30 am.  Students must remain on campus the entire day. For students that normally end the day at another high school, please plan to pick up your child at Collegiate after school or have them ride the bus, only on Tuesday, 11/13.  Please remind your son/daughter to get plenty of rest and eat breakfast before the exam.  Thank you very much for your cooperation.

  • TSI Testing Update

    Parents we will be TSI testing Oct. 1st and 2nd.  This is a very important test for our students which allows them to enroll in dual credit/ college courses.  Please make sure your child is here on time both days.  Thank you for your support.

    Help us win an author visit! Support our school library by ordering your child a "Be a Ninja Reader" shirt. Shirts are $10 (2X and 3X are $12) and must be pre-paid by Sept. 14th. Shirts may be worn in place of the uniform. If our campus has the most orders we will get a free author visit.
