  • Congratulations Ana Elizondo

    Congratulations goes out to Ana L. Elizondo. We are so proud to announce that Ana has just passed her Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam( ExCPT) . Ana L. Elizondo is currently a senior attending PSJA Early College High School. She was a 2-year member of her school’s tennis team and is an ongoing 4-year orchestra member playing the double bass. Ana has been an active competitor in her school's UIL Ready Writing, Science, and Spelling teams throughout her years in high school. She was also an RGV LEAD student ambassador representing PSJA ECHS. In her junior year, Ana was inducted into the National Honor Society and has continued throughout her senior year. She is a certified phlebotomy technician and an electrocardiogram technician after having received her certifications from RGV College this past year. That same year, Ana was nominated to represent PSJA ECHS at the yearly Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, otherwise known as RYLA. This past August, she graduated from South Texas College with her Associate of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and plans to continue her education at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley where she will be majoring in Nursing. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she will pursue a master’s degree in nurse anesthesia in aspiration of becoming a nurse anesthetist.. #BearPride

    Seniors Class of 2021! Graduation day is just around the corner, make plans to stop by campus this Thursday and Friday 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM to pickup graduation items. All items must be picked up at front entrance. Graduation Items: Masks , Yard Signs, Graduation Tickets, and Regalia. Pick-up at front entrance.

  • SENIORS REQUIREMENTS FOR DEVICES , TEXTBOOKS AND LIBRARY BOOKS

    For Seniors ONLY: your laptop, laptop charger and hotspot (if issued) will need to be turned in by Friday, June 4th by noon, if not earlier. This is part of your Senior Check-Out responsibilities. We are not offering curbside service. You will need to come to the campus from 8:30 to 3:30 to return your device. We are open Monday through Friday. We will be closed Monday, May 31st, due to Memorial Day. Please Park in the front parking lot, knock at the front doors and our security will check your device in. You do not need to come into the building, just to the front doors for drop-off. This is part of your Senior Check-Out responsibilities. Graduation is Saturday June 5th. This is the same process for your textbooks, library books and/or fines

  • CONGRATULATIONS STATE CHAMPION JAVIER PICHARDO!

    PSJA Early College High School Congratulates Javier Pichardo!!! He has committed to the Midland University Powerlifting Program in Nebraska. Javier has been training for years and this year he was crowned the UIL State Powerlifting Champion in the 165lb weight division. He also holds the All Time State Squat Record in the 165lb wt division. As an Archetype Sponsored Athlete, he is a 3 time All State Finalist and also holds the 5A Regional Squat Record in the 165lb wt division. Javi looks forward attending Midland University to continue his powerlifting career, while getting a great education and making his hometown proud! Go BEARS!

  • Congratulations Anthony Santoscoy for signing your letter of intent to play football at the next level.

    Anthony Santoscoy is a member of the PSJA Bears Varsity Football Team. He is a 2 year letterman and A & B Honor Roll Student. Anthony wants to thank all of his football coaches and teachers that helped him become a better student athlete all 4 years at PSJA High School. Anthony plans to attend BVU n the fall on an athletic scholarship to play football and pursue his degree in Exercise Science. Anthony's ultimate goal is to pursue a career in coaching to give back to his community and help young athletes play at the next level. PSJA Early College High School congratulates Anthony Santoscoy for his hard work and dedication on and off the field! Go BEARS!

  • Congratulations Juan Rodriguez

    PSJA is so proud of Juan Rodriguez! He has committed to play basketball at Concordia University in Austin, Texas. Juan has been playing basketball with the San Juan Parks and Recreation since he was in 3rd grade, he played with Team Hustle, a traveling team for 6 years, and then worked hard on his way up as he played with the Austin MS Bruins, the Freshman Dark team and then eventually the Varsity Bears Basketball Team. His hard work paid off as he received the Offensive MVP as a freshman, Newcomer of the Year as a sophomore, and in his senior year was named Second Team All District. Juan was also invited to play in the All Star Games. Juan will be studying Kinesiology and looks forward to playing basketball at the college level. We know he will continue to make our community proud and wish him GREAT LUCK! Go BEARS!

She placed first in the Animal Science Speaking Development Event Competition and is ADVANCING TO STATE at the Texas FFA Convention in Fort Worth this summer.   • CLASS OF 2021 SENIOR WALK

    The PSJA Bear Seniors of 2021 finally got to have their Senior Walk and we got to do it right off of Bears Trail on the Hidalgo County Hike & Bike Trail...in partnership with Hidalgo County Prct 2. Against a beautiful sky our BRIGHT seniors all decked out in their neon colors joined their friends, walked, laughed and talked...making memories to add on to all that they’ve been through! They had fun dancing thanks to Our Own DJ Mr Banda!! A huge THANK YOU goes out to County Commissioner Eddie Cantu for allowing us to take over for a little while and sending over great gentlemen to help in keeping it safe for our kids and community. Thank you to San Juan PD, the PSJA ECHS Law Enforcement Club, our own Pride the Bear for leading the walk and of course our very special leader, Dr Elias for providing the opportunity and fun for our kids. We also GREATLY appreciate the help of our assistant principals and parents who came out to support the fun! Go BEARS!

  • Bear Alumni Class of 1983 Ana B. Hinojosa finalist for People's Choice Award

    Bear Alumni Class of 1983 selected as a People's Choice Award finalist. Ana B. Hinojosa an Executive Director for Trade Remedy and Law Enforcement at U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Throughout her career with CBP, she held several leadership positions in a several different geographic locations in the United States. Following her service as the Director, Field Operations (Regional Director) in the El Paso, Texas region, she served as the Deputy Assistant Commissioner for International Affairs, in Washington, DC through December 2015.
