PSJA Collegiate Students Shine at Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference

CHICAGO, IL – Five students from PSJA Collegiate School of Health Professions (PSJA Collegiate) earned prestigious national awards at the Business Professionals of America (BPA) National Leadership Conference held in Chicago, Illinois on May 10-14, 2024. Senior Javier Garcia achieved the top honor as National Champion in Integrated Office Applications. 

 

Business Professionals of America is the nation’s leading Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) for students pursuing careers in business management, information technology, finance, accounting office administration, and other business-related career fields.  

With 45,000 members in over 1,800 chapters across 25 states and Puerto Rico as well as an international presence in China and Peru, BPA supports business and information technology educators by offering co-curricular exercises based on national standards. 

 

Congratulations to all PSJA ISD students for reaching the national competition and to those who excelled in their respective events: 

 

1st Place - NATIONAL CHAMPION

“As a BPA member at PSJA Collegiate, my knowledge and experiences have been significantly enriched. Competing in BPA with my friends has fostered my growth as both an individual and a student, preparing me for future college aspirations,” said Garcia. “The moment my name was called during the Integrated Office Applications awards, and I held the first-place award in my hands, I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment. It was a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance that have defined my journey.” 

 

The PSJA Collegiate BPA Program is under the direction of advisors Mrs. Liza Garcia and Mr. Jose Garcia-Gilling. 
 

“We are incredibly proud of our students for their outstanding performance at the national competition,” said the PSJA Collegiate Principal Mariza Saenz. “Their dedication, hard work, and achievements are a testament to the excellence and commitment of the rigorous programs available to all PSJA Collegiate students.
