We would like to remind our students to be in compliance with the PSJA dress code and with our Henry Ford uniform expectations. Please review the following information.
Dress Code Policy: The use of standardized dress is intended to improve students’ self-esteem, bridge socioeconomic differences among students, and promote positive behavior, thereby enhancing school safety and improving the learning environment. Mandatory School Uniforms will be worn daily. A polo shirt with jeans is the attire for Henry Ford Elementary. Jeans may NOT be ripped or frayed. Jeans must be fitted and not loose or baggy.
Additionally, students must also adhere to local district policy which includes:
*No use of flip flops.
*Shorts no shorter than 5" above the knee/no shorter than the extended fingertips are allowed,
*Earrings are permitted ONLY for girls. *Bandannas/hats/caps are prohibited unless for special events.
*Hair must be cut short and not go past the shoulders
*Hair must be clean and neatly combed and styled in such a manner that is not distracting. Examples include, but not limited to:
*no bangs covering eyes
*no hair designs/words on head,
*the use of colored spray or colored strips addons
*no hair dyed/sprayed of an unnatural color
