Mrs. Alvarez

Hello! My name is Mrs. Alvarez, and I am the librarian at Henry Ford Elementary School. I love elephants, the ocean, and (of course!) reading! A few of my favorite authors are Jason Reynolds, Kwame Alexander, Juana Martinez-Neal, and Katherine Applegate. My favorite genres are realistic fiction, historical fiction, and graphic novels, but I always love checking out new books! I also enjoy spending time with my husband, our daughter, and our cat, Lily. I am looking forward to an amazing 2020-2021 school year, and I can't wait to meet you!

    Click here for books, videos, crafts, and other activities provided by our district librarians, with a new theme each week this summer: PSJA ISD Summer Reads- Elementary

    Ford Families:  You are encouraged to continue reading books during the summer.  You may use your own books or eBooks available through MackinVia, TumbleBooks, GetEpic! and myOn.  

    Please keep a record of the books you read by writing them down on the BRIGHT Summer Reader Log.  If you are unable to print, you may write them in a notebook/sheet of paper.  Please follow the same format.  Thank you.
