Profile Message: My name is Ruby Valdez and I am one of the counselors at Southwest Early College High School. I have been working with the district for over 20 yrs. Before becoming a counselor, I taught elementary and middle school, I then became a counselor at the Middle School level then transitioned to High School. Parents and students, I just wanted to let you know that I am available if you have any questions or concerns via email or Google Classroom. 🐗I am currently the head counselor for SWECHS and I have been a counselor at SWECHS for 7 years now. Prior to that, I was a Gear Up counselor at Escalante for a year and a half. I also taught 9 and a half years at Clover Elementary and an additional 6 and a half years at Franklin Elementary. In all, I have been serving PSJA students for 24 years. I graduated from PSJA and have always wanted to serve our community.
