    At PSJA Memorial, we are committed to providing an environment of academic excellence where rigorous instruction is delivered in every classroom. As a result, every student is empowered with the skills necessary to be college ready and college connected as measured by state and national standards. We will employ the common instructional framework and diverse systems of support to ensure that success is the only option for all. Our goal is for every student to earn a viable diploma along with at least 12 college hours and/or the certification(s) necessary to be successful in the workplace.

    Early College High School Mission Statement

    The mission of PSJA Memorial Early College High School is to create and maintain an environment that ensures that every member of the school community reaches a high level of academic achievement as determined by state and national standards along with a minimum of sixty college hours. We commit to a comprehensive system of support to assure this outcome.

     

    Purpose
    To ensure that all students graduate prepared to succeed in institutions of higher education and/or the career of their choice.

    Our Focus 
    Our goal at PSJA Memorial High School is to develop individuals who strive for success. They will demonstrate this by being responsible for their actions, cooperative, respectful, hardworking, and participating members that hold expectations of themselves and others.

    Our Community 
    The City of Alamo is located in the South Texas area known as the Rio Grande Valley. Alamo, Texas, has five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school. This town was incorporated in 1924, and it was named for the Alamo Land and Sugar Company, is 240 miles south of the more famous Texas Alamo Mission, and is near the Mexico-U.S. border. It is located in an area of abundant vegetable farming and citrus groves, and it is a noted winter resort/retirement town. Alamo is also one of the Rio Grande Valley's gateways to Mexico, via U.S. Route 281 and Nuevo Progreso, Tamaulipas. Alamo's population was just 14,760 at the time of the 2000 U.S. Census. In 2009, the population was 17,526.
