Initiative Statement

The Pharr San Juan Alamo Transportation Department takes pride in providing the safest and most efficient transportation for our district. Our mission is to provide support to the academic, fine arts and athletic departments, while continuing to carry out our primary mandate of transporting students to and from their homes. Our goal is to have an accident-free school year, making a positive impact on our students and our communities. To achieve this goal, we have professional personnel that are friendly, courteous, dependable, honest, fair with a deep respect for others. We are all expected to have an outstanding personal appearance and represent our district in the best possible light. The flexibility our department has with parents and our communities highlights our commitment to be an asset to PSJA (Pharr San Juan Alamo). We believe common sense accompanied with reasonable actions will lead to good judgment in diverse circumstances encountered throughout the school year. This has gained national recognition and awards to our district. While our objective is not to win awards, they are a measuring mechanism for our department. Rain or shine PSJA Transportation Department will be there for our students and staff. 

Mission Statement

“The Leadership Team at PSJA Transportation Department has one goal in mind, to provide the safest, most efficient transportation for our district. Therefore, an open-door policy is in place, where employees, parents, and campus staff have access to the Manager, Coordinators, Dispatcher, and Clerks. The department provides a forum for open dialogue where ideas and concepts are developed and implemented to reach the goal of providing the best service to our students, parents, and staff. The first and last interaction between the parent and the school district is a yellow bus, so this puts the department in a unique position of being the liaison between our stakeholders and our district. We will continue to welcome the support of the Tri-Cities, parents, and district personnel as we identify future needs and implement unique and innovative solutions.”

PSJA ISD transportation department has been on the nation's top 100 best fleet in the Americas for ten years in a row 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020,2021 & 2022. 

This year the PSJA ISD Transportation Dept. has received 2021-2022 "71 of 100" Best Fleet in Nation!
