PSJA ISD migrant students participate in a variety of enrichment programs. The Project Smart Curriculum used in elementary and middle schools is offered to students in the summer. The objectives and activities of Project SMART: Making Mathematics Meaningful were designed for the most mobile students enrolled in summer migrant programs. The overarching goal of the project is to improve the math skills of migrant students through scientifically-based instruction, technology integration, professional development, and parent involvement. Through campus and district collaborative efforts, migrant students have the opportunity to participate in other programs tailored to their career and/or academic interests.
