TRAINING PROGRAM
Team Structure
1. Novice Level is for teaching basic skills and technique for the beginning level competitive swimmer. Green (non competitive) and blue groups are part of the novice level, and they are competing at the “B/C” level.
2. Age Group Level is for the young swimmer that has refined competitive skills and is striving to compete at a higher level. Grey, White, and Orange groups are part of this level. They compete at the Level 2 and 3 meets.
3. Senior Level is for the older swimmer that swims high school and wants an extra practice or go all the way to the national level.
Practice Group Requirements
Green 1: M-Thursday 6-7 (Coach 1)
Entry Requirements:
Green 2: M-Thursday 5-6 (Coach 2)
Entry Requirements:
• Age 11 and Over
• Attendance requirements – 2 practices per week
• Meets – Noncompetitive, but encouraged to attend meets
• Be legal in 3 of the 4 strokes
Blue 3: M-Friday 6-7 (Coach 2)
Entry Requirements:
• 10 Years of Age or younger (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance requirements – 3 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA meet per quarter
• Time Standard –No Time standards required
Blue 4: M-Friday 6-7 (Coach 1)
Entry Requirements:
• 11-13 (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance requirements – 3 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA meet per quarter
• Time Standard –1 “B” time for 10 & Under
Grey 5: Monday -Friday 6:30pm-8:00 pm (Coach 3)
Entry Requirements:
• 10 Years of Age or younger (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance requirements – 3 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA meet per quarter
• Time Standard – 3 “BB” times for 10 & Under
Grey 6: Monday-Friday 5:00pm-6:30pm (Coach 3)
Entry Requirements:
• 11 to 15 years of age (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance requirements – 4 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA meet per quarter
• Time Standard –No Time standards required
White 7: At coach’s recommendation (Swims with White 8)
Entry Requirements:
• 12 Years of Age or younger (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance – 4 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA meet per quarter
• Time Standard –1 “BB” time for 10 & Under or 3 11-12 “B” times
White 8: M-F 6pm-7:30pm (Coach 3)
Entry Requirements:
• 13 to 17 (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance requirements – 4 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA meet per quarter
• Time Standard – 5 “A” time for 10 & Under or 3 11-12 “A” times
Orange : Monday -Friday 6pm-8-pm (Coach 4)
Entry Requirements:
• 13-17 (Age as of March 1st)
• Attendance requirements – 5 practices per week
• Meets – 1 USA Meets per quarter
• Time Standard – 3 13-14 “A” or 3 “A” times for 11-12 or coach recommendation
Senior Group: depends on test set performance.
Entry Requirements:
- Age 14 years of age and older.
- Attendance - attend 60% or better of the practices offered (if in HS, HS practice does count)
- Meets – attend at least two USA meet plus championship meet per season.
- Time Standard – must have at least one PSJA ISD HS varsity cut
Tri City Water Polo: Wednesdays 6:30pm-8pm (other dates TBD)

- September 30-October 1: Men's CWPA Texas Division at Texas A&M University (Men's Collegiate Club)
- October 7-8: Alamo Classic - 14U/12U Divisions in San Antonio (hosted by Alamo Area Water Polo, 8th/6th/4th Grade & Younger)
- October 13-15: USAWP Rocktober Classic in Mesa, AZ (hosted by USAWP, 12U Athletes)
- October 13-14: TISCA Water Polo - Fall Champs, Location TBD (Non UIL High School Teams)
- October 21: UIL - Texas High School Water Polo Region Champs in Various Locations (UIL High School Teams)
- October 21-22: Men's CWPA Texas Division at Baylor University (Men's Collegiate Club)
- October 22: SWZ ODP Camp #2 - Youth Boys & Girls in North Texas (Carroll ISD Aquatic Center)

- November 10-12: USAWP Champions Cup in Indianapolis, IN (hosted by USAWP, 14U/8th Grade & Younger Athletes)
- November 11-12: Dallas Masters Fall Invite in North Texas (hosted by Pegasus, Men’s Open & Women’s Open)
- November 18-19: Alamo Classic - 18U/16U Divisions in San Antonio (hosted by Alamo Area Water Polo, 18U/16U Athletes)
- November 25-26: SWZ ODP Team Training Camp – Various Locations (One Day Only...Youth, Cadet, & Development Athletes)
