  • Swimming & Diving Team Tri City Champions

    Congratulations to our PSJA Bears Swimming & Diving Team on becoming overall Tri City Champions for the third year in a row. The Lady Bears achieved the Three Peat while the boys came a close second place. Notable Individual and relay champions included: Robert Allen 100 Butterfly Natalie Bravo 50 Freestyle & Relays Carina Campos 200 Individual Medley, 100 Backstroke & Relays. Carlo Carranza 100 Backstroke Julio Gómez 1 Meter Diving Micaela Gonzalez Relays Destanee Mata 1 Meter Diving Isela Ruiz 100 Butterfly & Relays Valeria Sifuentes Relays Audrey Trevino Relays Our District Championship will be held at the Pharr Aquatic Center. The Diving portion will be Friday January 24th, 2020 and Swimming on Saturday January 25th. Please come out and support. GO BEARS!!!!

  • LADY BEARS CROWNED TEAM CHAMPIONS

    What an awesome wrestling performance at this weekends Wildcat Classic where your Lady Bears were crowned as Team Champions and your Bears placed fourth.   • JOSE 'JOE' VELA ALUMNI CLASS OF 2019

    Jose "Joe" Vela is a class of 2019 PSJA HS alumni and is continuing his musical career as a Music Studies major at Texas State University under Dr. Keith Winking. He is a part of many ensembles, such as the Texas State Jazz Lab Band, Bobcat Marching Band, Ceremonial Brass Ensemble, the Texas State Wind Symphony, and the Texas State Symphony Orchestra. He also will be representing the Texas State University Trumpet Studio this spring in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania at the National Trumpet Contest where he and 4 others in a quintet will compete in the small ensemble division. Jose recently auditioned for the spring semester concert ensembles and is the Principal Trumpet(1st chair) of the Symphony Orchestra and the Co-Principal(section leader) of the Wind Symphony starting this spring. #PSJAProud

  • PSJA ISD LADY BEARS GOLF TOURNAMENT

    The Lady Bears Golf team attended the PSJA ISD Tournament this past weekend at Tierra del Sol Golf Course in Pharr. After a two day tournament, the Lady Bears came in 4th place. Rinelle Richie placing 3rd place over all and Abigail Martinez 5th place over all. The team consists of: Rinelle Richie, Abigail Martinez, Hailee Castillo, Kassandra Monroy, Madison Guerra, Nevaeh Reyes, Lauryn Martinez, Carla Flores and Jayden Davila. Great Job Ladies!!

  • RGV 6A VOLLEYBALL ALL STAR TEAM

    Congratulations to our Lady Bears Victoria Fuentes, Catia Cavazos, and Vivika Villarreal on being selected to participate in the 2019 6A Volleyball RGV All Star game coached by our very own Coach Caroline Cuellar. See you December 15th, 4pm at McAllen Memorial HS! #GoBears ‬

  • BEAR WRESTLER BRINGS HOME THE WORLD RECORD TITLE!!!

    Ramiro Yanez, Sophomore at PSJA ECHS competed in 132 weight class division in Las Vegas. He came back with the world record in the Bench, State and National record in the Deadlift and the Outstanding lifter for his total in both the Bench and Deadlift. He is also a member of the Bear Powerlifting team. Congratulations Ramiro we are so proud of your accomplishment. #PSJAProud
