Rising Stars
What are the PSJA Rising Stars?
The PSJA Rising Stars Recognition Program highlights outstanding 8th-grade students who demonstrate excellence in academics, athletics, fine arts and community service. The program provides an opportunity to recognize PSJA ISD middle school students who have made outstanding contributions and accomplishments to the district and our PSJA community.
Students must be nominated by faculty and staff based on merit and academic standing.
PSJA ISD middle school students must be nominated by high school faculty and staff based on academics, athletics, fine arts or community service. Nominations by family members will not be allowed.
To be considered, nominees must meet the following criteria:
- Be current 8th-grade PSJA ISD students;
- Must be participating in College Prep courses;
- Must be involved in extracurricular activities;
- Must demonstrate interest in pursuing an Associate Degree or Certificate in a PSJA ISD high school;
- Must demonstrate outstanding leadership and commitment to a higher education
