  • The Graduate Walk

PSJA ECHS just started a new tradition with their feeder schools called "The Graduate Walk". Eighty DAP graduating seniors were on our campus for a Graduate Walk in their caps and gowns. The hope is to give future Bears a glimpse of what they are working towards and at the same time, the graduates are being cheered on for their accomplishments by younger students.

  • PSJA History!

Congratulations to 8th grade student Jaysen Garcia, for being part of the Middle School All Region Mariachi! Jaysen auditioned and was accepted to perform at this weekend's All-Region Mariachi Clinic and Concert as violinist. He has made PSJA history in being the very first middle school student in our district to audition and earn placement in this prestigious middle school mariachi group. Also a special congratulations to PSJA HS Mariachi director Ms. Adriana Olivan for her teaching.

  • Sweepstakes!

On March 7th and 8th, both the Symphonic Band (under the direction of Michael Craft) and Varsity Band (Art Cano) earned a "Division 1 Superior Rating" at the 2017 UIL Concert and Sight Reading Evaluation. This marks the first year both bands received division 1's from all 6 judges, ranking the Austin Band Program #1 amongst the other 16 competitive bands in the Tri-City. The Symphonic Band earned their first ever superior rating in the school history. Cano and Craft extends their gratitude to the students, staff, and parents of Austin MS. Congratulations, Alexander Maldonado, Cassandra Rios, Alejandra Reyes, and Fernanda Reyes. Go Bruins.
