Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD students now have access to a new clinic opened just for them through a partnership between the school district and Doctors Hospital at Renaissance (DHR). The PSJA ISD School Based Health Center located at 700 W. Ridge Rd. in San Juan across from PSJA Early College High School, serves PSJA students ages 3 to 18 and pre-school aged siblings.
Boston-based organization Jobs for the Future (JFF) unveiled a new publication during the National Early College Conference in Dallas Dec. 9, highlighting the work of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD.
Oscar Torres a coach at PSJA North Early College High School, recently received the Alumni Admission Fellow for his tireless efforts of referring young men from PSJA ISD to Wabash College.
Linda Carrillo, PSJA North Early College High School Principal, was recently named a finalist for the Texas High School Principal of the Year award from the Texas Association of Secondary School Principals (TASSP).
PSJA ISD Librarian Lisa Hernandez was recently awarded the South Texas Literacy Coalition Literary Excellence Award for School Librarians at their annual gala at the Valencia Events Center Oct. 11. Marcia R. Garza Elementary Librarian Amy Marquez was also honored as a finalist.
