    Congratulations to the Bear Mariachi on earning a superior rating at this weekend's UIL Mariachi contest. They have advanced to the State UIL Mariachi contest and will be traveling to San Antonio in March.

    Congratulations to the Bearettes for winning a Division 1 rating in both Prepared Pieces and imprompt Performance at the Valley Dance Educators Association competition at Valley View High School.

  • Lady Bears Powerlifting Team

    Congratulations to Ashley Tapia for winning 1st place in her weight class at the Texas A&M Powerlifting Meet this past Saturday. Ashley lifted a total of 930 lbs. Congratulations also goes out to Alina Corpus for placing 2nd in her division with a total lift of 600lbs and freshman Audrey Estevanos placed 3rd at the EHS Invitational .

  • ROTC Team competes in Laredo

    Great outing for the JROTC today in Laredo at the Nixon HS JROTC Skills Meet. Five teams competed in five different disciplines, three of the five earned at least one event placement trophy. Female Color Guard - 2nd place in Knowledge. Male Color Guard 3rd place in Inspection and 2nd in Knowledge. The Male Color Guard earned 2nd place overall. Air Rifle Marksmanship 2nd place Prone, 3rd place Standing and Kneeling along with earning 3rd place overall. On the strength of their success coupled with our having competed in four or more disciplines - the Cadets earned 5th place overall in the Meet.

  • Orchestra Solo & Ensemble students compete

    Congratulations to the PSJA ECHS Orchestra Solo & Ensemble. We had 23 students who earned a Division 1 medal, and a Special Congratulations to the 12 students who qualified for State! The following students will be competing a in Austin late May: Osvaldo Quintero, Juliana Flores, Melany Martinez, Alexandria Galvan, Erica Dorado, Abby Stevenson, Alyssa Hernandez, Myrna Ramirez, Fausto Elizondo, Alexis Bermea, Heather Stevenson and Ruben Barrera

  • Track of Hope

    We invite you to our 5th Annual Track of Hope Cancer Awareness Walk Saturday February 25th, registration 6-7:00 pm at the PSJA ISD Stadium. Presentation of recipients at 7:00 pm with cancer walk beginning at 8:00 pm. $5.00 entry donation , Track of Hope shirts $10. For more information please contact PSJA High School Sponsor Ms. B.
