A group of 17 Pharr-San Juan Alamo ISD (PSJA) students in the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) organization, recently competed at the HOSA State Leadership Conference in Corpus Christi, and three advanced to Nationals. The students will be representing the school district at the HOSA International Leadership Conference in Florida this summer.
Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD hosted the Ribbon Cutting and Open House of its new special needs learning home on Friday, April 21. As part of the district's Pathways Toward Independence Program, the Learning in Functional Environments (LIFE) house ensures special needs students receive vocational training and functional independent living skills to help them become contributing members of the community.
Five Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD high school students were recently named recipients of the prestigious Dell Scholarship. The recipients are Anna Sanchez from PSJA Early College HS; Samantha Enriquez from PSJA North Early College HS; and Alliya Alaniz, Angelica Godinez and Orlando Ochoa from PSJA Memorial Early College High School.
For the third year in a row, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo ISD has been selected to be a part of the Best Communities for Music Education national designation. PSJA ISD joins 527 districts across the country given this prestigious distinction acknowledging the district's commitment to and support of music education.
