  • PSJA Drill/Dance Team Tryouts

    All PSJA High Schools will have their Drill/Dance team tryout meeting together to introduce the new constitution and expectations. Team Try-outs Clinic Week Monday April 3rd-Wednesday April 5th 4:30-7:00 pm. Audition Day is Thursday April 6th at 4:30 pm at corresponding High Schools. Officer Try-Outs Clinic Week Monday April 10th - Wednesday April 12th 4:30-7:00 pm Audition Day Thursday April 13th at 4:30 at PSJA ECHS Gymnasium

  • Congratulations Mighty Bear Winterguard

    Congratulations to the PSJA Mighty Bear Winterguard for their performances over the holiday break! They brought home two first place trophies! 1st place at the Vela High School contest on the 11th and 1st place at the Lopez high school contest this past Saturday the 18th .

  • Bear Mariachi Maravilla de San Juan

    Congratulations to the Bear Mariachi de San Juan for a great performance at the UIL State Mariachi Festival in San Antonio. A special congratulations goes out to senior, Myrta Chapa for being awarded a Texas State Outstanding Soloist Medal, the top honor any one music student will receive,

  • UIL Debate Team

    Congratulations to the Mighty Bear Debate team for a great performance at the UIL Debate Tournament held at Edcouch Elsa. The Bears captured four of the top spots with Matthew Macias placing 3rd , Petra Garcia and Cesar Camarillo tied for fourth, Enrique Maldonado placing 5th and Jacob Ramos placing 6TH Place

  • HOSA Delegates advance to State

    The HOSA Spring Leadership Conference was held at the McAllen Convention Center Feb. 24-25, 2017. Ms. Washington, HOSA Sponsor, would like to congratulate all of the students who competed at Area and would like to recognize the 10 students advancing to State in Corpus Christi from March 31-April 2. The following HOSA Delegates have advanced to State and will by competing for a spot at Nationals which will be held at Disneyworld in Florida. Students advancing to State are (top to bottom)1.   • Auto Tech advances to State

    Congratulations to the PSJA-ECHS Auto Tech Club for advancing to State Level Competition David Frausto, Erasmo Vigil, Martin Almaguer, Francheli Romero, Jason Ramos, Jose Basaldua, Jonathan Trevino, Jonathan Moreno, Jesus Cruz, Johan Ortiz, Joshua Garza, Victor Flores and Gustavo Ramirez.

  • Nathaniel Herrera signs a letter of intent to play football at the collegiate level

    Nathaniel Herrera, PSJA Early College High School Senior signed a letter of intent to play football with Texas Wesleyan University, May 9 surrounded by his family, friends and coaches. Nathaniel has been the Varsity Football Captain for the last three years and was named to the All-District Football team in 2015 and 2016. He was also named Offensive Lineman of the Year and Defensive Player of the Week in 2015. He will be graduating under the Distinguished Achievement Program and plans to receive an Associate Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from South Texas College this May. His future goals are to obtain a degree in Sports Medicine.
